About the team

Working as an extension of our clients’ internal teams, our in-house employment offering provides pragmatic, commercially focused support on the full spectrum of people-related legal issues. Our in-house employment paralegals play a key role in delivering this service, providing hands-on support to both our lawyers and client stakeholders.

We help clients realise the potential in their people and navigate their strategic HR and legal challenges, with support across a broad range of employment law matters, including:

· General employment support – assisting with day-to-day HR queries such as disciplinaries and grievances, drafting contracts and policies, flexible working requests, family leave rights and discrimination-related matters.

· Employment litigation support – helping manage Employment Tribunal claims by supporting with document collation, bundle preparation, liaising with clients and assisting with case management processes.

· Project and strategic support – providing assistance on large-scale projects such as restructures, redundancies, policy reviews and organisational change programmes.

· Transactional support – supporting on the employment aspects of corporate transactions, including due diligence exercises and TUPE-related work.

· Collective and workplace relations – assisting with matters relating to trade unions, collective consultation and workforce engagement processes.

· Atypical working and workforce models – supporting advice on agency workers, zero-hours arrangements, employment status and apprenticeship programmes.

· Global and cross-border work – coordinating with international colleagues and external counsel to support multi-jurisdictional employment matters.

· Compliance and legal operations – helping maintain accurate records, support audits, and contribute to the efficient running of legal processes and systems.

Our in-house employment paralegals are integral to delivering a seamless and high-quality service. They are valued for their organisation, attention to detail and proactive approach, enabling clients to manage risk effectively while supporting their wider business objectives

About the role

The Paralegal will be dedicated to supporting a key client of the firm, a large and growing organisation with a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Working as an extension of the client’s in-house team, the role will focus on delivering practical employment and immigration support across a broad range of matters.

This position offers strong client exposure, with the Paralegal playing an active role in day-to-day UK matters, as well as supporting the coordination and tracking of advice across the business. The role also includes responsibility for financial reporting and billing processes, helping to ensure efficient and transparent client delivery.

  • The Paralegal will support the client team in both a fee-earning and relationship-focused capacity, including:
  • Working closely with client stakeholders and the UK legal team, supporting tasks such as legal research, drafting documents and assisting with Data Subject Access Requests
  • Assisting with Employment Tribunal matters, including disclosure, bundle preparation, drafting witness statements and supporting hearing preparation
  • Liaising with external advisers and coordinating input across a range of matters and projects
  • Managing and maintaining content on the client extranet to ensure information is current and accessible
  • Monitoring and reporting on legal spend, and supporting the billing process
  • Supporting wider client relationship initiatives, including preparing materials for and attending review meetings, and assisting with client training sessions

The role will be initially and primarily based at the client’s offices in Bedfordshire for three days per week, with the remaining time spent working from home.
